Components for GNSS/INS Integration
The decision
about the sensors used for a GNSS/INS system depends on the application
requirements. If only short GNSS signal outages are expected or a low accuracy
level is acceptable low cost
sensors with degraded error performance are integrated.
Otherwise high precision inertial sensors must be combined with double frequency
GNSS receivers including RTK capabilities.Often also the
dimension of possible sensors plays an important role especially for car
or personal navigation applications
In the
following a range of sensors are demonstrated for the most part used at the
institute for purposes of GNSS/INS based sensor
fusion.
