The reference
stations used in the validation are carefully selected, the IWV data are
examined according to different criteria.
The observation
interval is one hour. Already the comparison of hourly IWV data shows a good
agreement, but the important comparison quantity is the monthly average value.
In this concrete case of station the Kiruna the monthly mean difference between
the IGS GPS solution and the climate model is -0,42
kg/m².
