The Institute of Geodesy and Navigation of the University FAF Munich offers a research position as

Research Associate (f/m)
(allowance according to German Federal Salary Scale E13, 100%)

for national and international research programs related to Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS, in particular GALILEO and GPS). Research activities to be carried out by the future post holder will include GNSS signal design and signal definition related activities, GNSS signal processing, GNSS interference aspects as well as indoor positioning.

The candidate shall hold a Master of Science/Engineering (or a university diploma) in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering or any field close to satellite navigation. Programming skills in C/C++ and Matlab are an asset while a good understanding of signal processing is considered a must for this position. Given the international focus of the activities the post holder will have to participate in, a good command of the English language is required.

We offer the post holder the possibility to work in a multi-disciplinary and interesting high-tech research area. A high degree of self-responsibility and technical eagerness is expected from the applicant. The post holder will be embedded into an international team of research associates. We offer the post holder the possibility to present the research achievements and the work in the framework of international conferences.

Engineers and scientists interested in satellite navigation are invited to apply. Wissenschaftlichen/e Mitarbeiter/in
(Vergütungsgruppe TVÖD 13 ganztags)

im Rahmen von nationalen und internationalen Forschungsprogrammen an, die sich schwerpunktmäßig mit globalen Satellitennaviga-
tionssystemen (GNSS, insbes. GALILEO und GPS) befassen, beispielsweise der Indoor-Positionierung sowie der Signalverarbeitung in Satellitennavigationsempfängern.

Wir bieten Ihnen die Möglichkeit hochinteressante und aktuelle Forschungsthemen im Bereich der Satellitennavigation selbständig (aber eingebettet in einem internationalen Team) zu bearbeiten und sich selbst und Ihre Ergebnisse international zu präsentieren.

Zu den Einstellungsvoraussetzungen zählen ein abgeschlossenes Universitätsstudium der Elektrotechnik (Nachrichtentechnik), Informatik, Physik, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Geodäsie oder einer verwandten Studienrichtung.
Kenntnisse in der Programmiersprache C/C++ sowie in der Signalverarbeitung sind erwünscht. Englische Sprachkenntnisse werden auf Grund der internationalen Verflechtungen des Instituts als notwendig erachtet.
