Education

The Institute of Geodesy and Navigation chairs the professorships of Geodesy and Navigation. Education in the field of Geodesy comprises Physical Geodesy (definition of the figure of the Earth, Earth rotation, Earth tides), Potential Theory (Mathematical Physics), Gravimetry (Gravity Measurements), Satellite Geodesy (Orbit Determination), Geophysics and Geodynamics as well as Inertial Geodesy.

Education in the field of Navigation is focusing on navigation systems and their applications, sensor data algorithms including Kalman filtering, sensor fusion (GPS/INS coupling) and signal processing.
